What’s Live Band Karaoke?

Did you ever want to be the lead singer of a band but never thought you’d get the chance? Technical V has the answer! We host Live Band Karaoke every Thursday night where you become the lead singer and we’ll be your back-up band. All you need is to do is show up, get yourself some liquid courage, and sign up!

Where is it?

How does it work?

Much like normal karaoke, a full song list is provided by the side of the stage (you can check out our “Song List” page for a digital copy). When you’re called up, we provide the lyrics for you on our laptop. While there is no bouncy-ball on our laptop’s screen, our lead singer Dan will be along side you to help you out in case you get lost. Even if you do, who cares as long as you’re having fun!

Important Notes

1. It’s important that you never cup your hand around the microphone. If you do, a very annoying, piercing, and high pitched sound will scream out of the speakers. Since this can hurt everyone’s ears as well as our equipment, you may be asked to step down.
2. While we use the first come \ first method, we also try to be fair and get people up who have not sung yet. In short, if you sign up for 10 songs in a row, we cannot promise that you’ll get to sing all of them as we’ll be trying to make sure everyone gets a chance.
3. We only know the songs that are listed on song lists. Unlike the karaoke machines, we unfortunately cannot download a new MP3 when a song is released. If there is a song you want to sing but don’t see on our list, please feel free to leave the suggestion in the comments below!
